Clean Marinas Re-Certify in Maryland

Eight Maryland marinas have been re-certified as Clean Marinas, by meeting the pollution prevention standards established by the Maryland Clean Marina Committee and the Department of Natural Resources.

The marinas include:

John L. Dunning Memorial Pier (Naval Station Annapolis)
Baltimore Yacht Club (Baltimore County)
Burr Yacht Sales (Anne Arundel County)
Parkside Marina (Baltimore County)
Annapolis City Dock
West Basin Marina (Patuxent River)
Oak Grove Marine Center and Persimmon Point Marine (Anne Arundel County)
Washburn’s Boatyard (Calvert County)

To further the goal of clean and healthy waters, the Maryland Clean Marina program in partnership with the Ocean Conservancy and the North American Marine Environment Protection Association is encouraging boating facilities and boaters to hold “Marina Cleanup Day” events. Marinas can register to hold an event and receive a free cleanup toolkit, which includes trash bags, disposable gloves and data cards to track the collected garbage. For more information click here.
