Michigan marina to begin renovations this summer
St. Joseph, Mich.—West Basin Marina in St. Joseph, Mich., will begin a two-phase renovation project this summer, planning around $1 million in improvements, according to a May 7 report on the WNDU-TV Web site.
The first phase will include a new storage shed and ship store, as well as landscaping improvements. Fifty docks will be replaced in the second phase, beginning next winter.
Marina user fees will finance the projects, not taxpayers. City Manager Frank Walsh said the improvements are long overdue.
