Universal Consumer Products announces the addition of Deckorators® aluminum deck railings to its spring 2010 lineup. According to Universal, this new railing system is sleek and durable; it comes in a kit, is available in black or white, and is compatible with all of Deckorators® baluster styles. The company said matching post caps are also available with these railing systems. Some of the post caps are solar powered and have two rechargeable AA batteries. Gold Eagle Co. introduces its STA-BIL® diesel stabilizer for use with any kind of diesel fuel and in any diesel engine. According to the company, today’s low sulfur diesel and bio-fuels can degrade at a more rapid pace than past diesel fuels, which can lead to sludge and sediment forming in the fuel tank causing plugged fuel filters, starting problems, poor engine performance, and reduced engine life. Gold Eagle claims its diesel additive product protects against corrosion, reduces oxidation of diesel fuel, and removes water from diesel fuel. 
Fortress Marine Anchors offers its Fortress FX-37 anchor that weighs only 22 pounds but can hold more than 7200 pounds, which is enough holding power to hold a 40-foot yacht during a hurricane. According to the company, this anchor was able to hold a 42-foot boat in place for several hours during Hurricane Andrew. 
Pier Genius introduces its Anti-sway Dock Frames, which the company said are built sturdy so they only move one-and-a-half inches from side to side when boaters walk on them. These dock frames are made of galvanized steel and come with a 25-year warranty. Commercial docks come in four sizes: 4’x8’, 4’x10’, 6’x8’, and 6’x10’. The company also provides custom configurations. 
SmartPlug Systems offers its 30-amp Inlet and Connector Retrofit Kit to protect against unstable connections and overheating, the leading causes of shore power failure and fires. This connector has stainless steel locking levers on both sides and a stainless steel inlet cover that locks down onto the top and rear of the connector. Once the sleeve is aligned, three pins slide into the connector. SmartPlug comes with a thermostat that automatically shuts off electricity at 200 degrees F to avoid overheating. 
LongReachHighReach (LRHR) introduces its Amphibious Marsh Buggy, an excavator that can be used for dredging, erosion control, and erosion prevention. The excavator operates both on land and on water, including in swampy areas, with its pontoons that can move in and out by one foot on each side and two hydraulic motors on each set of tracks. This 10-ton excavator can be broken down and assembled in a matter of hours, according to its manufacturer.
Electro-Tec offers its self priming aluminum fire cart that can spray water or foam on a marina fire through its 90-foot hose. This hose is attached to the fire-fighting pump, which sits on a trolley with wheels and is powered by a gas or diesel engine and comes with a two or three gallon fuel tank. According to the company, this pump is seawater resistant and comes with a three-way discharge port.
Electro-Tec Leisure Systems Limited, a supplier of power pedestals and electrical solutions for marinas, recently opened a brand new sales, service, and manufacturing facility in Tampa, Fla., to serve the American market. Electro-Tec will use this new facility to manufacture and sell its ESB, VX, and E-Max power pedestals, which are manufactured from composite materials, come with a three year warranty on external parts, and comes with photocell controlled 15W energy savings lighting standard. These power pedestals can also be equipped with LED lighting, which uses 85 percent less electricity and can last up to 15 years when used eight hours per night. 
SF Marina USA introduces its floating SF 600 Concrete Breakwater to protect marinas from large waves and violent storms. Each section is 66 feet long by 20 feet wide by 7.8 feet high, but can also be customized to a marina’s requirements. This floating breakwater is typically secured with chains and galvanized steel anchors made from reinforced concrete, the breakwater wood fenders can be fitted with finger piers, utility pedestals, cleats, gangways, and ladders. The pontoons are also equipped with built-in cable and piping ducts for electricity, water, and sewage disposal.
