Massachusetts Marinas Replace Docks

SF Marina Systems is beginning preparations for two upcoming projects in Massachusetts.

At Hyannis Yacht Club, the company will be replacing some of the marina’s existing concrete docks with a 10-foot wide attenuator. The floating concrete breakwater will be about 130 feet long, with transient side-ties along its outer edge. That work will begin next spring.

Boston Yacht Club will be replacing some of its existing docks with two 66-foot-long by 16-foot-wide concrete floating docks. “That’s the final phase of the improvements that they’ve been doing over the last four years,” said Mason Sears of SF Marina Systems. The marina has already replaced one of the older, smaller docks with a single 16-foot by 66-foot dock, which serves as a landing facility and an anchorage point for dinghies and small outboards up to 15 feet.
