| Industry Shows Slight Uptick over Past Two Years |
In 2012, marinas and boatyards made slight increases in the number of facilities that reported increased occupancy,
compared to the 2011. Th is year, there was an increase in facilities reporting a higher occupancy, a fewer number of facilities reporting a lower occupancy, and a little less reporting stagnant occupancy rates. This trend has continued since 2009, which saw many fewer facilities indicating higher occupancy rates (17%) and much more with lower occupancy rate (51%), compared to 2008. Survey reports from 2010 and 2011 shows almost identical reports, followed by a slight increase this year.... |
