Industry Shows Slight Uptick over Past Two Years
In 2012, marinas and boatyards made slight increases in the number of facilities that reported increased occupancy,
compared to the 2011. Th is year, there was an increase in facilities reporting a higher occupancy, a fewer number of facilities reporting a lower occupancy, and a little less reporting stagnant occupancy rates. This trend has continued since 2009, which saw many fewer facilities indicating higher occupancy rates (17%) and much more with lower occupancy rate (51%), compared to 2008. Survey reports from 2010 and 2011 shows almost identical reports, followed by a slight increase this year....
