Harbour Town Yacht Basin, a 100-slip facility in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina,

2015 - Small Category Winner

Harbour Town Yacht Basin is a small 100-slip marina within the Sea Pines Resort, which serves thousands of visitors a year. The resort’s developer in the 1950s designed the facility to mimic Portofino, Italy, which it does with a circular harbor surrounded by shops. Harbormaster Nancy Cappelman was on hand in St. Louis to accept the award.

Marina Jack in Sarasota, Florida

2015 - Large Category Winner

In 1886, a pier in downtown Sarasota, Florida, was constructed – it became the property of a steamship service, and eventually the city of Sarasota. A new four-lane road and peninsula led to city plans for a marina in 1964. Jack Graham purchased the facility in 1969, renaming it Marina Jack. Today, Robert Soran is the president and CEO of Jack Graham, Inc., parent company to Marina Jack.
