NMMA Launches “State of the Month”

The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) has launched a “State of the Month” initiative designed to bring key issues impacting the marine industry to members of Congress and their staffs. The legislators from the top boating and fishing states will be targeted for meetings. In addition, NMMA will document its efforts on social media, and, in certain months, invite members of Congress to tour marine plants and facilities.

Florida will be the first state in this initiative with meetings set for February. There are 27 members of Congress in Florida, nine of which are members of the Congressional Boating Caucus. NMMA will highlight the impact of the Miami International Boat Show, as well as the fact that Florida is the top state for boat registrations and new product sales.
