MarBoom Systems inflatable boom
Oil spills can be controlled quickly with MarBoom Systems’ MarBoom, an inflatable boom that contains oil and floating debris. Made of LDPE-polyethylene, it is 100 percent recyclable and can even be sold back to the industry for recycling. Because MarBoom is a containment boom, rather than an absorbing agent, it can be used multiple times. The company says MarBoom is easily deployed with limited manpower from land or vessel. It can also be refilled with air, if needed. In saltwater applications, MarBoom can be used in waves up to 3 feet.
