Sea Tow Foundation Announces Life Jacket Loaner Awardees

The Sea Tow Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting boating safety, announced its 2025 Life Jacket Loaner Program Awardees.

Through the 2025 grant program, a total of 3,774 life jackets and 50 loaner stand kits were awarded.

  • 119 groups across 39 states received life jackets
  • 50 of those groups received a loaner stand kit
  • 71 groups plan to create a brand-new life jacket loaner station in their community
  • 48 groups plan to replenish existing stations with new life jackets
  • 33 groups are new to the program

These efforts continue to expand access to life-saving equipment and demonstrate a strong, nationwide commitment to safe boating practices. The awarded organizations represent a wide range of groups, including parks, marine businesses, health care organizations, law enforcement agencies, community and non-profit groups and more.

Since its launch in 2008, the Sea Tow Foundation’s Life Jacket Loaner Program has grown to over 1,300 loaner stations across all 50 states, D.C., and the U.S. territories, with more than 106,000 life jackets distributed to date. Funded through a grant from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, administered by the U.S. Coast Guard, the program continues to play a critical role in preventing drowning and promoting safer days on the water.
