MBIA Elects New Board Members

Four marine businesspeople were elected to serve on the board of the Michigan Boating Industry Association (MBIA). Elections were held at their Annual Meeting on December 4. MBIA is a state-wide, non-profit marine trade association representing more than 350 marine businesses in Michigan.

Dan Delmotte of MacRay Harbor and Jeff Nichols of Aqua Sports Marine were elected state-wide directors. Tom Den Herder of Yacht Basin Marina was re-elected as SW board director and Liz Carney, retired from Grand Bay Marine, was re-elected as at-large director. All will serve three-year terms.

Officers appointed for 2026 are: Amy Crouchman of Walstrom Marine as chairman; Pete Beauregard, Jr. of Colony Marine as vice chair; and Rick Fleming from Irish Boat Shop as secretary/treasurer.

Other directors on the Board who will continue to serve in 2026 include: Chris Anderson of Anderson’s Boat Sales, Rob Davis of Club Royale, Torre Miller of Diesel Fuel Doctor and Paul Mitter of Wonderland Marine.

MBIA serves as the voice to Michigan’s $11.7 billion marine industry and the 4 million people who enjoy Michigan’s 850,000 registered boats. The MBIA is dedicated to the advancement, protection, and promotion of boating across Michigan.
