Renovation Underway at Miami Marina

Located at the confluence of the north and south forks of the Miami River and described as the only self-service marina in Miami, Florida, the 150-slip Hurricane Cove Marina recently completed the first phase of a major renovation project led by Golden Marine Systems and Southeast Marine Construction.

Phase 1 of the project includes approximately 5,400 square feet of floating dock, comprising Golden Marine Systems’ 850 Series Single Track floating dock system. The installation features spiced teak composite decking, 12-inch adjustable cleats, heavy-duty pile guides and access gangways.

“The upgrades to the marina and the new docking systems provided by Golden Marine Systems have significantly improved both the boat mix and overall aesthetics of the facility,” said John Michael Cornell, representative for Hurricane Cove Marina. “This transformation is already elevating the experience for our tenants and visitors alike.”

Currently in development, Phase 2 of the project will include 3,300 square feet of fixed aluminum dock systems, along with 37 Golden Boat Lifts, each rated at 30,000 pounds and configured in a four-post design to accommodate a broad range of vessels while enhancing protection and operational efficiency.
