Walk for Women in the Maritime Industry

The marine industry is two weeks away from coming together in a way that transcends borders, titles and time zones. The Global Women’s Walk 2026, powered by the Soundings Trade Only Group, Metstrade, British Marine, and Marine Industry News, invites everyone in the marine industry to walk 5Km (3.2 miles) anytime between May 11 and 18, coinciding with International Women in Maritime Day.

How to Get Involved

• Donate — to Room to Read (A 501(c)(3) organization) and help reach the $25,000 goal to support a school for at-risk girls, building the next generation of leaders.

Last year, more than 1,200 women and men from five continents and 15 countries participated. This year, non-profit support is included in the event, with donations being accepted for Room to Read, a global nonprofit providing literacy, mentorship and education. Together, the goal is to raise $25,000 to fund an entire school and library for at-risk girls.

Walk highlights will be featured in Soundings Trade Only, Marine Industry News, and on the main screen at the Women in the Marine Industry International Event at Metstrade on November 18.
