MMTA Announces Plans for Kids Boating & Fishing Week

The Massachusetts Marine Trades Association (MMTA) announced that “Massachusetts KIDS Boating & Fishing Week” will take place from June 6 to 14. This important effort encourages and promotes youth boating and fishing events around the state. This will be the eighth year the MMTA has promoted events and timeframes. Currently, there are 7 registered events participating, with most running from May 30 to June 19.

The dates of Massachusetts Kids Boating & Fishing Week coincide with Great Outdoors Month. The objective for Massachusetts KIDS Boating & Fishing Week is to highlight kid-friendly events that offer both boaters and non-boaters a chance to experience boating and fishing. MMTA recognizes that approximately 70 percent of adult boaters started boating as kids and bringing the next generation to the water in a safe and fun manner will help build the future marine industry.
