New Members Join SeaTow Safety Advisory Council
Published on July 24, 2026The Sea Tow Foundation™, a national non-profit dedicated to reducing boating-related accidents and fatalities, announced the addition of seven new members to its Boating Safety Advisory Council. These individuals join a distinguished group of industry leaders, educators, and advocates who help guide the Foundation’s efforts to create a safer boating experience for everyone on the water.
The new members, selected by the current council with oversight from the Executive Committee of the Sea Tow Foundation, will begin their two-year terms in July 2026. During their service, council members participate in quarterly virtual meetings, collaborate on a range of boating safety initiatives, and judge entries for the annual National Boating Safety Awards.
New Members Joining the Sea Tow Foundation’s Boating Safety Advisory Council:
- Maggi Adey is the Member Services Manager at the American Boat & Yacht Council(ABYC),
- Michaela Austin is the Marketing Director at Goodhue Boat Company
- Brian Chandler, APR, Founder & CEO of Commonwealth Public Relations
- John Dial is the founder of At The Helm Training
- Stu Gilfillen is the Executive Director of Tall Ships America
- Chris Juall of The Qualified Captain
- John Malatak of America’s Boating Club
