ABBRA Annual Meeting & Symposium to be Held January 23

The American Boat Builders and Repairers Association (ABBRA) will hold its Annual Meeting & Symposium on January 23 at the Pier 66 Hotel & Marina in Fort Lauderdale. The evening prior will be ABBRA’s annual meeting, awards presentation and opening reception.

Designed for business owners, operators and managers, the event focuses on the issues that affect boat building, refit, repair and service companies. The day includes a keynote address, interactive workshops, and a panel of women leaders who will share their stories, insights and hope for the future of the industry.

This year’s sessions include: “Bending the Rules = Progress” presented by Richard Downs-Honey; “Critical Thinking and Innovation – The New High-Ranking Business Skills Necessary for Success” presented by Tom Allen; “The Integrated Workforce of 2020: Diversity is the Key” presented by Katie Spiker; “Good Alligator Wrestlers are Hard to Find” presented by Steve Kitchin; “Law at the Waterline” presented by Ben Ford; and “The Future Face of Boat Building and Repair” presented by Jessica Parker, Wendy Goodwin, Nadia Williams, with Ben Ford as moderator.
