ABBRA Bringing Marine Service Manager Training to California

The American Boat Builders and Repairers Associations (ABBRA) is holding its Marine Service Managers (MSM) course for the first time in California September 23 to 27 at Keefe Kaplan Maritime, Richmond Point, California. The course is being offered in partnership with Keefe Kaplan Maritime Inc. The leadership training is for boatyard operators seeking the industry recognized credential Certified Marine Service Manager.

The Marine Service Managers (MSM) Course offers an opportunity for boatyard operators to professionalize their staff and improve the efficiency and profitability of their businesses. The ideal candidate for this certification course wants to advance and demonstrate proven leadership and management skills in the operation of a boatyard, a service department or a marine service and repair business.

The MSM course focuses on boatyard operations, leadership and time management skills, policies and procedures, contracts, human resources, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) compliance issues, teambuilding, and financial management.
