ABBRA Offers CMSM Training in Newport

The American Boat Builder and Repairers Association (ABBRA) is holding its Certified Marine Service Manager (CMSM) course from February 26 to 29 at the Hotel Viking in Newport, Rhode Island.

The training is aimed at those working in management and leadership roles in boat building and repair facilities who want to advance and demonstrate their skills. Attendees should have a working knowledge of refit, repair and servicing of boats and their systems, as well as overall operational knowledge of their facilities.

Courses include: Leadership Skills and Time Management; Human Resources and Team Building; Safety, Health and Emergency Response; Financial Management; Project Management; Maritime Law; Contracts; and Marketing and Social Media.
