AIWA Announces Details for Annual Meeting

The Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway Association (AIWA) will host its 2022 Annual Meeting November 16 and 17 in Norfolk, Virginia, at the Sheraton Waterside Hotel.

The agenda is packed with informative presentations and multiple opportunities to connect with representatives from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ North and South Atlantic Divisions and Districts, NOAA, Maritime Administration of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation, business leaders, and waterway supporters covering the following topics:

  • Recreational Boating and Waterway Cruise Line Perspectives
  • Dredging Operations on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway
  • Perspectives from the Virginia Maritime Community
  • A View from Washington, D.C. and much more!

In addition, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will offer a State of the Waterway presentation. As the federal agency responsible for maintaining the waterway, the Corps invites North and South Atlantic Division personnel and District Project Managers to provide updates on completed projects and new projects on the horizon for the coming year.

Through federal partners, NOAA and MARAD, AIWA continues to engage with project managers and decision-makers whose areas of responsibility include safe navigation, waterway mapping, and infrastructure investments that increase opportunities to enjoy and utilize Marine Highway 95.
