AMI Announces Online Education

The Association of Marina Industries has announced an upcoming webinar series and an online version of their Intermediate Marina Management course. The one-hour webinars are open to anyone interested, while the IMM, held over multiple days, is intended for those looking to pursue the Certified Marina Manager and Certified Marina Operator certifications.

On October 22, at noon EST, Paul Kanitra, founder and president of Lobbyit.com and Mayor of Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, will present Pandemic Impact on Small Business. Paul will examine the impact of current and future pandemic legislation.

October 28 at 1:00 p.m. EST Bill Botten with the US Access Board will present American With Disabilities Regulations for Boating Access.

On November 4 at noon EST, Tony Carli from the Fire Boat Academy will return to present his second session on Fire Safety for Marina Operators. Tony will cover fire liaison, working with local authorities having jurisdictions and required training and training records for employees.

The IMM online course begins November 11 and runs through December 10, with two classes held per week on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST. Instruction will be live and interactive with the same course content and instructors as the face-to-face course. To attend the IMM course, you must have one year of marina management experience.
