Boating United Touts 2019 Advocacy Success

Boating United has released its year-end list of advocacy accomplishments. The grassroots platform of the recreational boating industry, Boating United is comprised of boating manufacturers, businesses and supporters who share a common goal of protecting and promoting the industry.

In 2019, 5,483 advocates took action sending 12,934 emails to Congress and adding 395 signatures to petitions.

Through these efforts the Natural Resources Management Act, and Coastal and Great Lakes Communities Enhancement Act were passed, the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement was ratified in the House of Representatives and the fight against the expansion of E15 was continued.

On the state level, Wisconsin became the 14th state to establish an outdoor recreation office and two state advocacy fly-ins, in Florida and Michigan helped to bring industry issues such as conservation, workforce development and infrastructure to the forefront.
