California Clean Boating Network Event to be Held at Richmond Yacht Club

California Clean Boating Network is holding a half-day clean boating event on December 4 at the Richmond Yacht Club in Richmond California. Marina operators and others involved in the recreational boating industry will learn about sea level rise impacts to marinas and boaters, the new copper-bottom paint regulations for boaters in California, and the Pumpout Nav App.

Vivian Matuk from the California State Parks Division of Boating and Waterways and California Coastal Commission will present “An update on the Statewide Clean Boating Program”; Reinhard E. Flick from the California State Parks Division of Boating & Waterways, and research associate at the Center for Coastal Studies, Scripps Institution of Oceanography University of California, San Diego will present “It’s Not Your Grandmother’s Sea Level”; Aniela Burant, California Department of Pesticide Regulation will present “Copper Antifouling Paints in California: Everything the Recreational Boater Needs to Know”; and Adrien Baudrimont, Natasha Dunn, and Liz Juvera with San Francisco Estuary Partnership will present “Smart Sewage: New Ways to Keep Our Waters Clean and Boaters Happy.”
