ePropulsion Sales Revenue Jumps 200%

ePropulsion, a global leader and market challenger in marine electric propulsion systems and services, has announced record sales revenue growth in 2021 and forecasts a strong outlook for 2022.

Sales revenue increased 200% year-over-year in 2021, with over 15,000 units sold across the globe. The company estimates a further 100% growth rate in 2022 as more boat owners look to switch to more sustainable boating and convert to electric propulsion systems as commercial use and OEM applications grows.

Europe and North America continue to be the two largest growing markets for ePropulsion moving into 2022, with the United Kingdom, United States, and Germany the leading countries, and the leisure marine sector accounting for the majority of sales. The company is continuing to expand its network globally with distributor appointments in Australia, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, and Serbia in the last few months.

Looking ahead, ePropulsion will continue to invest in research and development to expand and grow its sustainable boating solutions like enhancing its propellers to ensure maximum efficiency for its whole RPM range from propulsion and regeneration. The company is also looking at smart boating technology, to help to make its systems more environmentally friendly, efficient, and intelligent.

Longer-term, ePropulsion predicts marinas may look to sustainable energy sources such as solar, tide and wind power, while apps and websites that show network charging locations will become the norm. The company also predicts that a development of battery technology will contribute to the advancement of electric propulsion.
