Find Ways to Celebrate International Marine Service Technician Week

International Marine Service Technician Week is just days away. There are different ways the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) is encouraging the industry to celebrate.

Honor an outstanding technician by submitting a nomination to ABYC’s 2023 Outstanding Technician Award. Recognize the hard work and dedication of a favorite marine service technician here. ABYC will select five winners during International Marine Service Technician Week to receive $100 VISA gift cards and a technician prize pack with various giveaways. Winners of the Outstanding Technician Award will be announced April 27, and highlighted on ABYC’s social media accounts and website. Submissions are due by end of day April 14.

Join ABYC in highlighting marine techs on social media pages. For each day of International Marine Service Technician Week ABYC will be celebrating marine techs of all different backgrounds. Marine industry members are encouraged to tie into the themes below for their own social media efforts throughout the week. The theme days are as follows:

  • Monday, April 24 – Long-time industry members
  • Tuesday, April 25 – Marine service programs and schools (secondary and post-secondary)
  • Wednesday, April 26 – Female technicians
  • Thursday, April 27 – Outstanding Technician Announcements (Share your own outstanding tech!)
  • Friday, April 28 – The future of the industry; aspiring technicians and educators
