Fishing & Outdoor Exposition Features 250 Exhibitors and Family-Friendly Activities

The 2019 Progressive® Insurance World Fishing & Outdoor Exposition, presented by Stihl, returns to Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York, with a larger selection of outdoor sports vendors, speakers and events than ever before. From February 28 to March 3, show-goers can compare and shop newly released and hard to find products for their outdoor needs, by major fishing tackle manufacturers, brand name and independent local retailers. Attendees can also participate in a variety of free educational seminars and attractions for all ages and skill levels.

The annual four-day event will showcase more than 250 exhibitors selling hundreds of products from the boating, kayak, fishing, hunting and taxidermy industries, along with daily seminars on a variety of outdoor topics – from saltwater and freshwater fishing to hunting big game – led by nationally-recognized experts.

Additional event highlights include:

  • “Rod’s Go Free” where anyone named Rod, or variations of, will receive free admission with a valid form of identification.
  • Saltwater Superday will feature a continuous series of lectures from the northeast’s top saltwater anglers. Whether surfcasting, inshore or offshore, specialists will explain the newest developments in technology and techniques to ensure show-goers have the most prolific saltwater fishing experiences of their lives.
  • Whitetail Superday will provide opportunity to learn from the region’s most note-worthy whitetail hunting experts. Learn the newest innovations in tracking and stalking from those at the top of the craft.
  • Family Day will allow the first 100 children, 11 years old or younger to receive a free rod and reel upon entry and free admission. Once inside, they can participate in a scavenger hunt where a fully stamped checklist results in the opportunity to visit the Grand Prize Giveaway Booth. The ‘Reel Kids’ casting event will offer lessons from the experts to children of all ages and skill levels giving them a head start in their wonderful fishing careers.
