Fort Myers Marina Set to Rebuild

Legacy Harbour Marina in Fort Myers, Florida, is ready to start rebuilding after being damaged during Hurricane Ian in 2022. AIRN Management, LLC, which purchased the marina shortly before Ian’s landfall in 2022, has spent the past three years clearing the site. It includes approximately 8 acres of submerged land and 4.6 upland acres on the Caloosahatchee River. With the help of Bellingham Marine, Legacy Harbour plans to install 131 new slips to accommodate vessels 40 to150 feet in length.

“This marina has always played an important role in the Fort Myers boating community,” said Rick Budd, chief executive officer of AIRN Management, LLC. “We’re committed to restoring Legacy Harbour in a way that not only honors its history but brings in modern improvements and safeguards for the future.”

The marina is located near Fort Myers’ River District. The site will incorporate Bellingham’s Unifloat® concrete wave attenuator system, set with 70-foot-long steel piles with HDPE sleeves. Bellingham’s Unideck® aluminum frame dock system with WearDeck synthetic decking will make up the marina’s interior slips. Dockside amenities include potable water, black water pump-out, fire suppression, fiberglass dock boxes and single- and three-phase power.
Construction is expected to be completed in spring 2026, with slip reservations available approximately six months in advance.
