IMBC Announces Name and Location Change

The International Marina and Boatyard Conference (IMBC) has a new name and a new location for next year. The conference will now be known as the Association of Marina Industries Conference & Expo.

The change followed an extensive branding exercise lead by an outside marketing firm and in cooperation with the Association of Marina Industries board of directors.

Next year the event will move to Daytona Beach Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida, as the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the traditional home for IMBC, will be undergoing renovations.

The change was announced at last week’s IMBC which featured more than 500 attendees and 150 exhibitors. Two keynote events kicked off each day. Manley Feinberg’s keynote address on day one was “Reaching Your Next Summit: Seven Vertical Lessons and One Essential Question for Leading with Impact” and on day two former Walt Disney executive Dennis Snow presented, “Delivering World-Class Customer Service: Lessons from the Mouse.” Following each days’ keynote were a series of breakout sessions, broken into five tracks Marina Design & Engineering, Operations, Leading Your Team to Excellence, Building Your Best Boating Community, and Step Up & Stand Out.
