International SeaKeepers Releases Free Green Boating Guide

The International SeaKeepers Society has released the International Green Guide to Boating, a free educational resource designed to help recreational boaters adopt simple practices that protect waterways while improving vessel performance and efficiency.

Developed in collaboration with marine industry professionals and environmental experts, the guide provides practical guidance on topics such as responsible fueling, waste management, fuel efficiency, eco-friendly products, and spill prevention. The goal is to make environmentally responsible boating practices accessible and easy to implement for boat owners and operators.

The guide aligns closely with the goals of Clean Marina programs, which promote responsible boating practices and pollution prevention at marinas across the United States. By sharing the Green Guide with their boating communities, marinas can provide boaters with additional tools to help maintain clean and healthy waterways.

Marinas are encouraged to share the guide with their boating communities through newsletters, dock signage, and boater education programs.

The International Green Guide to Boating is available as a free digital download.
