Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo Celebrates Ten Years

The tenth year of the Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo kicked off September 21 and ran through September 23 at FirstEnergy Park. The boat show is produced by the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey (MTA/NJ).

The first show was held in 2009 with 15 boat dealers and a total show size of approximately 40,000 square feet. Over the last ten years the show has tripled in size and now features more than 25 dealers with 300 new and pre-owned boats, covering four parking lots totaling more than 130,000 square feet. This year, nearly 65 boat brands were represented spanning all sizes, styles and prices of vessels including just introduced 2019 models.

A boater’s marketplace located outside and inside the stadium offered attendees a chance to shop for marine services, electronics, equipment, while the popular Kids Cove, sponsored by the Lakewood BlueClaws and the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium provided activities for children.

“This year, the Jersey Shore Boat Sale & Expo reaches a milestone,” stated Jim Cerruti, MTA/NJ President. “Ten years of providing a high quality, affordable boat show for the boating consumer and the Dealers who are proud to participate in it. Every year the show gets bigger and better. Plenty of space to look at hundreds of boats of every size, shape, design and power to fit all the different boating lifestyles and waterways in New Jersey. Our Association is excited about all the new products and services our members have to offer.”
