Kennebunkport Marina Acquires Southern Maine Marine Services

Kennebunkport Marina has acquired Southern Maine Marine Services, bringing together two trusted names in Maine’s boating community. This new partnership strengthens the resources, capabilities and value available to customers while maintaining the personalized service both businesses are known for.

Both Kennebunkport Marina and Southern Maine Marine Services share a long-standing commitment to quality, trust and customer care. This acquisition strengthens that commitment while ensuring customers have access to the full spectrum of marine services under one umbrella. By combining operations, the two organizations will deliver a broader range of services to their loyal customer bases. Boaters will benefit from an expanded suite of offerings, including more competitive pricing driven by economies of scale, enhanced customer convenience with seamless service across multiple locations, and greater access to top brands, including Mercury, Suzuki and Yamaha outboards. Retail sales from everyday essentials to bait and tackle will be available. In addition, customers will have full access to professional marine services from advanced mechanical and electronic repairs and maintenance to a broad spectrum of storage solutions.

The integration of services will begin immediately. Previous owner, Paul Lariviere, will remain on the staff at Southern Maine Marine Services, as the special projects lead assisting clients with larger projects, refits and repowers. Lariviere will also be applying his more than 40 years of experience by leading the company’s marine technician training program.
