Marine Career Training Institute Offering Technician Training in Michigan

The Marine Career Training Institute of North America (MCTINA), formerly AMTECH (the Association of Marine Technicians) is offering technical training courses at the 2018 National Marine Service Expo (NMSE).

This is the first time the organization is conducting the training outside of Florida and kicks off MCTINA’s new series of rotating training sites to better reach technicians and sponsors across the country. NMSE is a service-oriented training event for professionals who require training on specific systems or who need to learn the newest technology. Attendees receive a certificate of completion and course credits.

The Michigan Boating Industries Association is supporting and sponsoring the training at NMSE that takes place at Pier 33 Marina in St. Joseph, Michigan, January 23 to 26. Four courses will be held each day and will include training on both inboard and outboard engines and motors. Topics include Advanced Inboard EFI Theory, EFI and MPI Inboard Troubleshooting, MerCruiser Alpha and Bravo Outdrive Service, Marine Catalyst Systems, 4-Stroke Outboard Systems and more.
