Massachusetts Harbors Get New Docks

SF Marina Systems has completed two projects in Massachusetts.
Marina Bay Boston, in Quincy, Massachusetts, is owned by Safe Harbor Marinas. The company built three sections of floating breakwater (a total of 160 feet). The marina, which is being reconfigured to handle larger yachts and transient boaters, wanted the breakwater to provide better protection in the basin for boaters.

The breakwater, which is moored on 30-inch piles, was installed by Legacy Marine Contractors.

Marina Bay Boston in Quincy, Massachusetts, owned by Safe Harbor Marinas, also reconfigured its docks, adding a new protective floating breakwater.

Hawthorn Cove Marina, a Safe Harbor Marina in Salem, Massachusetts, took delivery of five section of floating breakwater from SF Marina Systems. The marina is reconfiguring its wooden docks to incorporate a floating breakwater perimeter that will better protect its entrance. The 14-foot by 325-foot attenuator is moored on 30-inch internal piles. Legacy Marine Contractors did the installation.

Both projects were started earlier this year and were completed in the spring.
