MBIA Inducts Tom Ervin of Walstrom Marine into Hall of Fame
Published on December 12, 2025Walstrom Marine announced that Tom Ervin was officially inducted into the Michigan Boating Industry Association (MBIA) Hall of Fame during the organization’s Annual Awards Dinner held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on December 6. This distinguished honor recognizes Ervin’s long-standing contributions to the Michigan boating industry and his leadership at Walstrom Marine since joining the company in 2016. Under his guidance, Walstrom Marine has expanded its brand portfolio, strengthened its service capabilities, and grown its presence throughout the state.
In addition to Ervin’s induction, two Walstrom Marine Service Technicians were also honored by the MBIA at the awards dinner: Brian Johnson – Outstanding Technician Award, and Cody Beach – Marine Technician New Achiever Award.
The MBIA Hall of Fame honors those who have left a meaningful mark on recreational boating in Michigan. The technician awards reinforce Walstrom Marine’s deep commitment to cultivating top-tier service talent and delivering outstanding customer care across all its locations. In the last 79 years, Walstrom Marine has grown to become the leading boat dealer in Northern Michigan, with five dealership locations, marinas in Harbor Springs and Algonac, and storage and service facilities in Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, Traverse City and Cheboygan.
