NBC Sports Group to Televise Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

The 59th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will be covered by NBC Sports Group on NBCSN. This year’s telecast will be the first of three consecutive years that the network will provide coverage of the event. The program will showcase the latest vessels, technical innovations and performance reviews, and highlight dining, shopping and hospitality options in Fort Lauderdale. The network will also present a “Best of Show” trophy for the most innovative new model design on display. Filming will take place at the show from October 31 to November 4, and the program will air in December.

Owned by Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and produced by Informa Exhibitions, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will have more than 1,500 boats on display and three million square feet of exhibit space.

Andrew Doole, vice president and general manager of Informa Exhibitions, said, “Informa is excited to showcase the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show to a national audience on NBCSN. The program will be a unique inside peek into the diverse world of boating that will appeal to all ages and all budgets.”
