New Docking and Dining Option in Fort Myers Beach
Published on April 28, 2026The Marina at Bonita Fish Company in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, recently completed an overhaul of its docks with the help of Golden Marine Systems.
Formerly known as Bonita Bill’s restaurant, the location replaced the legacy fixed timber docks with 30 slips using Golden’s 850 Series single track floating dock system. Golden also installed four new gangways for safe and efficient dock access. Premium Weardeck composite decking covers the docks for enhanced longevity and minimal maintenance while GMS 12-inch adjustable cleats and heavy-duty pile guides provide secure mooring and reliable performance.
“The restaurant is brand new as well,” said owner Joe Harrity. “It’s part of an area we’re calling Fisherman’s Wharf on Fort Myers Beach. If you use our docks, we don’t limit you to going to Bonita Fish Company; you can go anywhere you want, any of the three restaurants here.”
Phase One represents a significant step forward in restoring and upgrading this unique waterfront infrastructure. “We allow both transient and long-term use,” said Harrity. “We do have one floating wooden dock that we’re leaving for restaurant use, so daily boaters coming up for lunch.” Dockside amenities include water and 20/30/50-amp power set to go live in June upon successful delivery of electric panels.
