New Docking System for Cape Coral Marina
Published on September 30, 2025Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral, Florida, is now storm-ready thanks to a new docking system by Golden Marine Systems. The new docks feature Golden’s 950 series floating concrete pontoons with connections that allow the system to flex and move with storm-driven wave action. The improvements come after the legacy docking system failed to sustain the stress during hurricane season. The old docks lacked sufficient flexibility to absorb storm-level wave action, which resulted in significant damage. Unique brick-paver decking provides the new docks with a sophisticated aesthetic as well as increased stability from the additional mass.
“We’re proud to complete Phase One of this important project,” said Michael Shanley, president of Golden Marine Systems. “This design reflects the perfect balance between performance and presentation. With hurricane resilience and high-end finishes, the new docks set a new standard for coastal marina infrastructure.”
Phase two of the project is scheduled to begin in early 2026.
