New Haven Marinas Expands in Florida
Published on August 28, 2026New Haven Marinas has acquired Scipio Creek Marina, adding a premier full-service marina in the heart of historic Apalachicola, Florida, to its growing portfolio. The acquisition marks New Haven Marinas’ first property in Florida and ninth marina across six states.
A key part of the property’s appeal is its exceptional waterfront hospitality offering. Half Shell Dockside Restaurant & Bar is one of the area’s premier waterfront dining destinations and a significant revenue driver for the business, attracting both boaters and visitors to the property. The marina is also home to Buoy Brewing Company, New Haven Marinas’ first brewery, adding another distinctive hospitality component and revenue stream to the portfolio.
Scipio Creek Marina offers a diversified platform of 108 dry storage units, more than 30 outdoor racks and 20 wet slips, along with fuel, marine supplies, repair and haul-out services, transient dockage and other boating amenities.
The combination of marina operations, marine services, Half Shell Dockside, Buoy Brewing Company, and three short-term lodging rentals creates a unique waterfront destination with multiple revenue streams and significant opportunities for continued growth.
Located along Scipio Creek and within walking distance of Apalachicola’s shops, restaurants and historic attractions, the marina serves local boaters, anglers, transient guests and visitors exploring Florida’s Forgotten Coast.
