New Marina to Open in Idaho
Published on March 2, 2026Tamarack Resort in Idaho has taken a big step in providing waterfront access and expanding its year-round recreation offerings with a new marina and shore-front design on Lake Cascade. Construction began last September on a new marina featuring 100 seasonal wet slips and on-water fuel service. The marina will operate as a public facility in accordance with state and federal guidelines while the new campus will also feature more beachfront and a dedicated swim area. The project will also improve access to nearby Poison Creek and include a volleyball court, expanded beaches and watercraft rentals.
“This transformative project is the result of a long-term lease with the state of Idaho and approval by the Bureau of Reclamation, and we are proud to deliver a facility that will serve the public, resort residents and guests for years to come,” said Scott Turlington, president of Tamarack Resort. “Of all our assets, the mountain may be the most iconic, and the golf course may be the most refined, but the lake has always been the most elusive. And now, finally, it is happening.”
The Tamarack Resort lies 90 miles north of Boise on 3,600 acres of Idaho’s prime recreational forest land and operates as an all-season destination. The grand opening of the new marina is slated for Memorial Day.
