New Owner For Edson

Edson opens a new chapter in its 162-year history and welcomes Chip Johns, a marine industry veteran, as the new owner.

“The Keene family has been at the helm of Edson for over 60 years, and we are pleased to hand the leadership over to Chip”, Will Keene said. Will Keene, his brother Hank, and father Henry all contributed to the success of Edson.

Adam Cove, CEO of Edson since 2016, will remain with the organization through the transition, “I am excited about the passion and expertise Chip Johns brings to the company,“ Cove commented. “Chip has all the tools and experience to lead Edson into its next chapter.”

Following the invention of the diaphragm pump by Jacob Edson in 1859, the company has continued to manufacture a wide range of pumps, marine steering systems, and marine accessories in its modern manufacturing facility in Massachusetts.
