New York Sea Grant’s Inflate-A-Boat Coming to the Central New York Boat Show

New York Sea Grant (NYSG) is bringing its Inflate-A-Fleet to the Central New York Boat Show. Held February 15 to 18 at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York, the show features more than 500 boats, water recreation equipment, marine accessories, waterfront destinations and educational exhibits.

The Inflate-A-Boat exhibit consists of inflatable and folding vessels including a boat, kayak and backpack paddleboard. The boats are part of the NYSG Discover Clean and Safe Boating campaign that has a theme of “Get Out on the Water: Everyone Can Enjoy Boating.” Along with the Inflate-A-Boat display, NYSG will also partner with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary to give a 15-minute introduction to “Suddenly in Command” training aboard a pontoon boat in the Oneida Lake Marina exhibit booth. The training gives an overview of how passengers can handle an emergency when aboard a boat.

New York Sea Grant has received New York State, National Association of Boating Law Administrators, and U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary awards for the Discover Clean and Safe Boating campaign.

The Central New York Boat Show is sponsored by the Boating Industry Association of Upstate New York.
