Newport International Boat Show Seeks Applications for New Products Awards

The Newport International Boat Show announced that submissions are now being accepted for the 2026 Newport for New Products (NFNP) Awards Program, one of the marine industry’s most respected showcases for innovation and product excellence.

Returning for its 20th year, the NFNP Awards provide exhibitors with a unique opportunity to introduce new boats and marine products to both consumers and industry leaders during the 55th annual Newport International Boat Show, taking place September 17-20, 2026, in downtown Newport, Rhode Island. The program recognizes groundbreaking products and vessels making their debut at the show and highlights the ingenuity driving the recreational boating industry forward.

Produced in partnership with leading marine media brands including Cruising World, Sailing World, Yachting, Soundings, Passagemaker, Power & Motoryacht, and SAIL, the program delivers significant promotional value to participating exhibitors through editorial coverage, digital marketing, public relations support and targeted audience engagement. Participating entries receive access to a promotional platform valued at more than $250,000 and generating more than 2.5 million impressions.

Entries will be evaluated by a panel of marine journalists and experts from the industry’s leading publications and judged on innovation, design, functionality and value to consumers. Awards will be presented in the following categories:

• Best New Powerboat
• Best New Sailboat
• Best New Product – Technology
• Best New Product – Boat Operation, Maintenance & Safety
• Best New Weather Gear (Wearable)

In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to select the People’s Choice Award for Best Boat Debut through online voting prior to the Show. Special recognition will also be awarded for entries demonstrating exceptional achievements in sustainability and accessibility.

Applications for the 2026 Newport for New Products Awards Program are now being accepted. Complete program details, eligibility requirements and entry forms are available online. Applications must be submitted by August 1, 2026. Winners will be announced during the NFNP Awards Ceremony on Friday, September 18, before the show opens.
