NMDA Announced Supplier of the Year Winners

The National Marine Distributors Association (NMDA) announced this year’s winners of the Supplier of the Year Award at its annual Sales, Training, Education and Purchasing (STEP) conference in Illinois. Since 1972, wholesale distributor members of NMDA have voted to recognize top suppliers for overall excellence in supply chain management, marketing, packaging & shipping and customer service.

Supplier of the Year awards went to Washington-based Sea Dog Line as the Diamond winner, Uflex USA the platinum winner and gold went to Gold Eagle. Runners up in each category were Blue Sea Systems, Polyform US and Meguiar’s, respectively.

Focus awards were presented in each category. Best All Around Packaging went to Sea‐Dog Line (Diamond), Perko & Uflex USA (tie for Platinum) and ASA Electronics (Gold). Marketing Philosophy went to Sea‐Dog Line (Diamond), Uflex USA (Platinum) and Gold Eagle (Gold). Supply Chain Standards Efficiency Award was given to Sea‐Dog Line (Diamond), Polyform US (Platinum) and Caframo (Gold).

Sea Dog Line won the most awards this year. Based in Everett, Washington, the company supplies more than 5,500 marine dock, deck and rigging hardware items and 12-volt electrical lighting and ventilation accessories.
