PIANC Accepting Applications for Awards

PIANC is accepting submissions for the Marina Excellence Design “Jack Nichol” Award (MEDA) and the Working with Nature certificate and award.

Named for well-known marina designer Jack Nichol, the MEDA recognizes excellence in design of recreational boating facilities around the world. Applications should be submitted before November 20, 2017 to RecCom@pianc.org or PIANC.RecCom@gmail.com. More information and applications can be found at http://www.pianc.org/awardsjacknichol.php.

The Working with Nature award recognizes projects at any stage that protect or enhance ecosystems, use natural processes, are sustainable and were developed with stakeholder engagement. Project submissions are first reviewed to determine if they are eligible for a certificate of recognition.

If accepted the project can be promoted as an example of international best practice and PIANC will automatically add you to list of those eligible for the Working with Nature Award. This award is granted every four years with the next one granted in 2018 at the 34th PIANC World Congress. Projects can be submitted at www.workingwithnature.pianc.org.
