Possible Expansion of Hayden Lake Marina

Southern Marinas Hayden Lake, LLC recently applied for a permit with the Idaho Department of Lands to overhaul Hayden Lake Marina with construction proposed to begin in late 2026. The permit cites the primary need for the proposed expansion as accommodating the growing industry trend of larger modern vessel sizes, which average 22 to 24 feet in length. The permit calls for a new dock layout, adding 32 new slips for a total slip count of 247. The full-service public marina on Hayden Lake offers boat rentals, seasonal slips, winter boat storage, a fuel dock and a ship’s store. Beyond new and larger slips, the permit mentions upgrades to electrical infrastructure and lighting as well as new pumpout capability.
