Registration Opens for IMBC

Registration for the International Marina & Boatyard Conference (IMBC) is now open at MarinaAssociation.org/IMBC. Entering its 18th year, the conference will be held January 14 to 16, 2020, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and is produced by the Association of Marina Industries (AMI).

Full conference passes start at $399 and include unlimited access to all educational seminars, regional round tables, workshops, food and beverages, entry into the exhibit hall and admission to all networking events. Social events include the popular Casino Night; an AMI member meeting, followed by a first-time attendee reception; and the opening night Exhibit Hall Party.

New tracks this year include Professional Development, Lead Your Team to Excellence and Building Your Boating Community. These sessions will offer training on setting team expectations and accountability; putting goals into action; leading a culture of service excellence; hiring and mentoring for the next leaders; transient operations and grants; and running successful marina events. The conference begins with two pre-conference training opportunities – a Marina 101 session focusing on entry-level training and a workshop dedicated to the new electrical code guidelines.

The seminar and workshop offerings at the conference are focused on five key tracks: Operations, Professional Development, Lead Your Team to Excellence, Design and Engineering, and Building a Boating Community. Sessions address topics ranging from consumer-facing technology, public access and permitting, to boater education and growing your community.
