Renovations Begin at Central Kansas Marina

In the Smoky Hills region of central Kansas, the man-made reservoir of Kanopolis Lake provides recreational boating and camping opportunities for tourists and local residents alike. The State of Kansas recently purchased and renovated an existing marina located at the south end of the lake near the Smoky Hill River outlet. Recent improvements include the installation of a Meeco Sullivan floating dock system made of galvanized steel and topped with a MoistureShield marine-grade composite decking. The new docks include 30 new slips, all 10 feet wide and 20 or 22 feet in length. The fueling dock was also replaced as part of the project.
