Seafloatech Named A Finalist For Ocean Innovation Awards

SEAFLOATECH participated in the 3rd edition of the Ocean Innovation Awards and was selected as one of the 16 finalists among 56 applications.

Created 3 years ago, the awards recognize innovative solutions and projects for the future sustainable development of our oceans. The Awards are structured around 7 themes: preserving biodiversity; reducing the use of fossil fuels; reducing marine pollution; ensuring the protection of coastlines; raising public awareness about the protection of oceans and coastlines; exploiting marine energies in a sustainable way; and sustainably using ocean resources for food, health, leisure, cosmetics and other needs.

The four selection criteria were:

  • The innovation of the project, opening up new perspectives or enabling the solution to a problem.
  • The means by which the project improves the response to an existing need
  • The potential reach and the number of people impacted
  • The environmental impact

This selection as one of the finalists of the Ocean Innovation Awards follows SEAFLOATECH recently being awarded as one of the #1000 solutions from the SOLAR IMPULSE Foundation, rewarding profitable and sustainable solutions that protect the environment.
