SF Marina Wave Attenuator Installed at Swedish Marina

Along what is known as the Swedish Riviera, the Skanörs Hamn marina now offers boaters increased safety and efficiency while docking, thanks to a new wave attenuating solution by SF Marina, consisting of four new jetties. One 164-foot jetty is composed of SF1230 series floating concrete pontoons, while three jetties of lengths 164 feet, 170 feet, and 180 feet are made of SF1030 series pontoons. The pontoons also have internal ducts with power and water supply. The solution is designed to dampen the wave action generated by the region’s occasional 45 mph northerly winds. SF Pontona Sweden AB delivered and installed the system, which also included finger docks and Y-boom fingers with floats to accommodate 120 vessels. A dinghy dock on the quay adjacent to the launch ramp was also installed. A short drive from both Malmö and Denmark, the marina is a destination for boaters seeking the beauty of the Øresund Strait or entertainment at the many nearby restaurants and historic sites.
