SF Marinas Constructs New Dock for Denmark Marina

Roskilde Harbor, originally founded in 1972 west of Copgenhagen, Denmark, recently received a marina improvement project which added 787 linear feet of dockage and increased its vessel capacity by more than 40. The improvements were made possible by a concrete pontoon dock solution manufactured by SF Marinas and installed by SF Pontona ApS Denmark. The Roskilde Harbor layout includes a 344-foot-long angled dock and walkway comprised of six SF1024 pontoons which terminates into the center of a straight 442-foot-long dock section of seven SF1040 pontoons, providing a total of 44 additional slips. A new 50-foot-long angled dock was also attached to an existing portion of the marina to attenuate wave action and shelter the docks. The pontoons are connected via an advanced energy-absorbing coupling system and are secured to the seabed with 1.6 foot diameter piles.
