TVA Seeks Comments on New Marinas in Tennessee

The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is asking the public for comments on plans to issue permits for two new marinas on Norris Reservoir at Powell River in Campbell County, Tennessee.

Details on the proposed Deerfield and Woodson Marinas are found in draft environmental assessments posted at www.tva.com/nepa. The draft assessments will consider the potential environmental impacts of the commercial marinas as requested in Section 26a permit applications. Both marinas would include boat slips for public rental and are consistent with TVA’s land management policies.

Comments on the draft EA will be accepted until August 12 and can be submitted online at www.tva.com/nepa, emailed to tagiles@tva.gov, or mailed to Travis Giles, NEPA Project Manager, Tennessee Valley Authority, 1101 Market Street, BR2N-C, Chattanooga, TN 37402. All comments received, including names and addresses, will become part of the project administrative record and will be available for public inspection.
