Freedom Boat Club To Sponsor Benefit Event for School for Autism

Freedom Boat Club has been shipping a fleet of boats, and sometimes its 70-foot houseboat, to Jaguar games and the annual Florida/Georgia weekend to tailgate or “boatgate” on the water. On December 8, they are teaming up with the Jacksonville School for Autism and Safe Harbor Boys Academy to provide a new “boatgate.”

Freedom Boat Club and the Jacksonville School for Autism are sponsoring an event to benefit the school aboard the 125-foot superyacht Amazing Grace, being donated by Safe Harbor Boys Academy. From 2 to 4 p.m., prior to the Jaguars home game, attendees can enjoy beverages, hors d’oeuvres, and meet Captain Sandy Yawn from Bravo TV’s Below Deck Mediterranean. Captain Sandy is an advocate for autism awareness and her nephew attends the Jacksonville School for Autism. Ticket holders can meet Captain Sandy, talk about the show and have their picture taken with the famous mariner.

The Boatgate with Captain Sandy will be held at Metropolitan Park Marina before the Jags take on the Los Angeles Chargers. Tickets are on sale for $50 and $75. Both ticket options include an opportunity to meet and take a photo with Captain Sandy. The $75 ticket option includes a one-way shuttle boat ride from the Southbank to the Northbank.

Those wishing to attend can register online at www.jsakids.org/product/boatgate-with-captain-sandy/. Tickets are limited and all proceeds directly support the Jacksonville School for Autism.
